Bridgedale grad Gabe Perreault drafted by NY RangersWe are proud to congratulate Bridgedale Academy grad Gabe Perreault who was selected in the first round of the 2023 NHL Draft by the New York Rangers. He was the 23rd player chosen in this year's draft.

Gabe becomes the 9th Bridgedale grad to be drafted to the NHL. He follows in the footsteps of his older brother Jacob, also a Bridgedale grad and also an NHL First Round Draft Choice.

Gabe, who attended Bridgedale for three (3) years, resides in Hinsdale, IL and is the son of former NHL forward (and present Bridgedale on-ice instructor) Yanic Perreault.

Last season, as a U18 with USA Hockey's National Team Development Program (NTDP), Gabe set the all-time single-season scoring record with 132 points (53 goals and 79 assists) in 63 games, shattering the record held by Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Auston Matthews (117 points in 2014-15).

Gabe also was his team's leading scorer for the NTDP U17s during the 2021-22 season.

Gabe will attend and compete for Boston College on a scholarship next season.

Congratulations to Gabe (and his parents Yanic and July) on his being drafted 23rd overall by the NHL New York Rangers.
