    On a Hockey Scholarship

Bridgedale Academy student Jacob Pivonka commits to Notre DameBridgedale Academy 9th grader Jake Pivonka has given his verbal commitment to attend the University of Notre Dame on a hockey scholarship. Jake is considered to be one of the top players in the country at his age. He is also one of the top academic performers at Bridgedale.

“Jake is an excellent fit for Notre Dame, a young man who combines academic excellence with athletic excellence,” said Bridgedale Headmaster Mike McPartlin, himself an ND alum. “I told Jake ‘good for you, and good for Notre Dame,’ and I meant it.”

“Jake seems always willing to go above and beyond the ordinary to achieve his goals,” added McPartlin. “He gets extraordinary results because he’s willing to give extraordinary efforts.”

Congratulations to Jake (and his parents Michal and Renata) on his commitment to Notre Dame.

Bridgedale Academy is an all-male school for athletes, a sports academy offering grades 5 through 8. All our students are hockey players and in addition to our winning combination of sports and academics, we focus on leadership training. We use a classical academic curriculum and our graduates go on to attend some of the most prestigious high schools in the midwest, including Lake Forest Academy, Culver Military Academy, Shattuck St. Mary’s, Northwood School, Benet Academy, Fenwick Prep, St. Ignatius Prep, Latin School and Providence Catholic. Three of our students have been offered spots with USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program.
