Jacob Perreault w USAH National Championship MedalsThis week Bridgedale Academy 10th grader Jacob Perreault won his second consecutive USA Hockey National Championship.

Jacob's Chicago Mission U16s defeated Team Wisconsin U16s in the Finals on Tuesday in Philadelphia, PA.

His team went a perfect 6-and-0 in the tournament, also beating powerhouses like Little Caesars, Boston Jr. Eagles and Oakland Jr. Grizzlies on their way to the title.

Jacob is a 2002 birth year player and was a key player on last year's Mission Bantam Major team that won the 2017 Bantam National Championship.

"As great a hockey player as we know Jacob is and was when he enrolled, we  believe he has really blossomed this year at Bridgedale,” said Bridgedale Headmaster Mike McPartlin. "All our younger student-athletes look up to Jacob and over the course of the school year he embraced this role and became a quiet leader at our school."

During the first half of this school year Jacob was able to spend time working 1-on-1 with Theo Di Pauli, himself a great role model,” added McPartlin. “We could see the positive impact this had on Jacob, personally and academically. But Theo has been gone since January and Jacob has continued to blossom in his absence. We're all very proud of him.”

Congratulations to Jacob (and his parents Yanic and July) on his outstanding achievement.
