Another Hockey Scholarship
by Mike McPartlin, Headmaster, Bridgedale Academy
Bridgedale Academy 8th grader Tyler Haskins has given his verbal commitment to play his Division 1 NCAA hockey at the University of Michigan.
Tyler, a top forward who plays for the Chicago Mission Bantam Major 03s team, becomes the 11th Bridgedale student-athlete to receive his D1 commitment.

Tyler is also a High Honors student at Bridgedale Academy.
"Tyler's tenacity is just one of the things that sets him apart," says Gino Cavallini, coach of Tyler's Chicago Mission team. "And of course he also has an excellent skills set and sees the ice very well."
"Despite having to go through hip surgery this season, Tyler kept a positive attitude and kept working on those things he could control," added Cavallini. "He's able to play effectively in all situations and is an all-around great player. Michigan has picked up an outstanding player."
“Tyler has gone through a lot this year in terms of injuries and not being able to play for much of this school year,” said Bridgedale Headmaster Mike McPartlin. "But his resilience and determination have allowed him to continue to excel. He earns High Honors academically and is someone who personifies the term 'student-athlete.'"
“It has been impressive to watch Tyler mature as a person this year under some very difficult circumstances,” added McPartlin. “I am sure that when his time comes, he will be a major contributor to the University of Michigan's storied hockey program.”
Congratulations to Tyler (and his parents Bob and Molly) on his commitment to the University of Michigan.
