Bridgedale Academy graduate Brian Silver commits to Michigan State

Brian Silver commits to Michigan State UniversityBrian Silver has given his verbal commitment to play his NCAA Division 1 college hockey at Michigan State University.

Brian becomes the 8th Bridgedale student-athlete to make his college commitment, and the first to commit to MSU.

“Brian Silver is a leader,” said Gino Cavallini, Brian's coach with the Chicago Mission U16s. “He is the type of player you can play in any situation with confidence that he'll consistently make the right plays.

"Coaches are always looking for defensemen who are smart and reliable, and that's Brian Silver in a nutshell. He moves the puck well, especially his first pass, and he can and will play physically. He's a two-way player who contributes offensively while at the same time being steady and reliable defensively. I believe Brian will have a great college career at MSU."

According to Bridgedale Headmaster Mike McPartlin, "Brian is obviously a great hockey player, but he's also an outstanding young man. He will definitely bring a positive impact to the Michigan State Spartans hockey program both on the ice and in the locker room.”

Bridgedale congratulates Brian (and his parents Jeff and Marianne) on his commitment to Michigan State.
