Testimonial from Bridgedale dad Mark Boweak

I am writing to share how thrilled my family is with Bridgedale Academy.

Hockey for many families is a big commitment. For our family, more than the W's or the extra ice time, key is the idea that hard work academically provides the privilege of getting on the ice.

We met with Bridgedale Headmaster Mike McPartlin and found a way to get the most out of both!

The athletic staff is amazing, as both their on-ice and off-ice instruction focuses on the skills and athleticism that most hockey teams cannot.

    You see results.

The academics are equally amazing. Our son is flourishing in the smaller class size, and the extra attention and challenging work has made him stronger in even his weaker areas of study.

He is not just excelling at Bridgedale - he is exceeding!

If you are raising a student-athlete, you should give Bridgedale a serious look!

Mark Boweak appears by permission. He has been more than 20 years in the spirits industry, working with some of the best brands in the business, including Angel's Envy, Woodford Reserve, and Johnny Walker. He is also the former owner of Hemingway’s Brass Rail, an award winning restaurant in Chicago. A striving triathlete, he lists his proudest achievements as his 20-year marriage to wife Jessica and his two beautiful sons, Konan & Kristian.

Mark's son Kristian is a 6th grader at Bridgedale Academy and competed for the Huskies Hockey Club out of Canlan Ice Arena in Romeoville. Kristian is an excellent athlete who will play for the Cyclones organization this spring. We know he will do well.

And what do Bridgedale teachers say about Bridgedale?

"This is such a special place!! It is life changing for these boys as it centers around strong relationships that encourage strong academic growth. It’s a hockey school, but so much more than that.

"It’s a pleasure to come to work everyday. Thank you for creating such a positive, caring environment."

    Kristi Florey, Bridgedale Math Teacher
